This proofreading and redlining tool turns all displayed elements gray, and then lets you specify elements (matching one or more rules) to be highlighted in a different color. You can then identify problem elements with a quick visual examination. It is intended for use by a user responsible for accepting or rejecting files delivered from some outside agency. With SpotChek, you can redline and annotate problems into a reference file. It does not have correction capability, but Spot_Fix (which does) can take advantage of the redlining/annotation done in SpotChek. We have additional tools which help with the difficult task of proofreading. SnapChek checks that lines are terminated properly (it would find a water main connected to a sewer line). It also fixes overshoots and undershoots. GridScan breaks up files into a grid (the user defines the size) then displays the design file one block at a time for easier visual reviewing. DGN_Diff allows you to compare a previously proof-checked file with the revised version, to identify all (including unintended) changes. IMPORTANT: The purchase of RESYMBOL (or Resymbol Lite) is required for rule creation.  |
