This version of the database module provides a powerful tool for selecting graphic elements based on non-graphic attributes. Rules can specify as part of the selection criteria (the FROM portion of the rules) that linkages to specific tables exist, or that the tables contain specific values. "Greater than" and "less then" relationships may also be specified. Tables can be joined for these enquiries. Non graphic data stored in tag data elements, and user data may also queried. It is easy, for example to review all elements from which an expected linkage is missing with RESYMBOL's View Elements, or QuikChek, Spot_Fix and SpotChek. Additional capabilities are planned. Currently, the only data linkages which are created are Geopack linked elements which can be written by QA_Input. In the future, the data_opt module will allow removal of linkages, and creation of linkage as part of resymbolization.
