GDM Software

CompleteQA is a group of GDM’s Quality Assurance tools to support any CAD endeavor. It is designed to increase productivity in creating, checking, and correcting design files.

The complete QA consists of two parts - the administrators tool set, and the workstation tools intended for every user. The administrator tools include:

RESYMBOL, makes your standard into rule files then can check for compliance, correct, or document the errors and specify corrections. RESYMBOL is also a very powerful to for changing files. Processes both individual files and in batch.

Cascade, make putting your rule file into a cascaded (or hierarchical) form easy. This cascading is required for use with the unique menu system utilized by QA_Input and is also required by some of the other tools.

SpotChek, allows you to proofread, red line and annotate. Information (in addition to red lining and annotation) is automatically stored which Spot_Fix then uses to simplify the correction of errors. SpotChek can be used to create a “guide” or template to simplify the proofreading process.

The user tools (WorkstationQA) are:

QA_Input,uses your Standard (defined in a RESYMBOL rule file) as a menu for drawing creation. Includes programmable macros and the ability to view cells before placing them.

Spot_Fix, a proofreading and correction tool. It can directly use notes from SpotChek as a Guide to simplify proofreading.

GridScan, also assists in the proofreading by making the visual scan of the files easier. Set the file up as a rectangular grid, with grid size suitable for efficient viewing. Move from section to section with the keyboard arrow keys.

QuikChek, checks the current file for invalid symbology and enables corrections.

DGN_Diff, compares two files and highlights modifications, additions and deletions..

Most sites need only one set of the Administrative tools, and several set of the less expensive Workstation tools.
