GDM Software

The GDM Software tools that use Resymbol's rule files, need the files cascaded, allowing the rules to be accessed as a hierarchical menu. Cascade is a small part of CompleteQA, but it has an importance beyond its relative size. The cascading is done by adding Heading rules (blank except for the description) to define categories and sub-categories, and then adding numeric cascade codes to the rules to create the hierarchical structure. With out this structure rule files can not be used by QA_Input, QuikChek, Spot_Fix, or SpotChek.

Rule files can be cascaded manually, but CASCADE is a tool which takes a flat rule file, and allows the user to easily do the cascading. A rule file which is cascaded can be loaded, modified, and rewritten.
